I think publishing - no matter where, no matter if a single soul reads it - is essentially broadcasting to everyone tuned into the same frequency as you.

And I don't even think the few important thoughts humans have are their own. They are already in that frequency.

It's like finding seashells and telling people we made them.

All you can claim as your achievement is formulating these thoughts in a better way.

Why immutable instead of on a platform where you don't know if they'll change or delete it?

Why not?

Yes, so you're attached to your ideas being preserved, not lost. You are seeking to protect your ideas.

That is materialistic.

Are ideas part of the material world in Canada?

Yes, ideas affect the material world, in fact they are the main driver of what happens in the material world.

Your attachment to your ideas (and effort to preserve them) is 100% materialistic.

It's not an objectively bad thing to have some level of materialism.

But more importantly, and conclusively, you seem to think that non-materialists don't live in the material world.

We do. We interact with it all the time.

The only think that differentiates us from a materialist is thatcwe think there are more dimensions to our human existence than just the material one.

Now big hug.

Sure, and I'm saying, we have no guarantees there are more dimensions, so to operate without some level of materialism (i.e. storing good ideas for future generations), just in case, is delusional.

You think you know for sure there are other dimensions. I'm saying that's possible, and the opposite is also possible. It's not knowable to any of us.

Therefore I store my ideas on chain in the hopes that it might benefit future generations. Regardless of if there are other dimensions to reality or not.

Would you agree @6345 that "Storing ideas for future generations to potentially benefit from" is "The best possible form of materialism"? "Benevolent materialism"?

Not "I want a legacy, I want to live forever in human culture", but "I want my ideas to reduce the suffering of others in the future, regardless of credit"?

I'm sorry I called you a materialist.

I guess you were raving about religion or how death is so terrible that we need to trust our rulers because they know best and are just saving us from certain death.

Now I know you are an agnostic. I think that's great.

Gotta go pray.
Will send love.
