I don't think they do. They get email, 3d point face cloud, IP that's it. Hard to rebuild identity from that to forge it for other means. Simpler with other approaches. Still feeling safe :)

it's easy to secure this by having the company NOT hold any valuable data:
Use the data (like face) on the phone to generate a reproducible random hash, use that hash as a seed to generate private key.
No need to store anything on a server ever.
