Yes, people seem to confuse a future where there is a demand to invest wealth into bitcoin as a store of value with one where bitcoin has merchant acceptance. I'm no economist, but I thinks gold is for a hoardin' and money is for a spendin'.

the reason is that the last stage meaning spending still matters in terms of quality and user experience. the higher the quality the more reason you have to use that money as savings.
