Cherished premises tend to be defended by emotions rather than ideas.

There's a big difference between "being brilliant" and "being the best mind in BTC."
There was too much interruption, yes. A few blunders, no doubt (like when he claimed that I thought big blocks were free... 🤔), but overall, it was a valuable discussion.
Paul is the best mind in BTC, so it's important for everyone to hear his thoughts.

Impersonation, fraud, money laundering, and I even see a case for patent infringement. Thailand awaits...
Not Marc - a great opportunity to develop the un-Twetch!
Thanks for the warm welcome everyone ! Please tell me why i should own BSV in comparision to BCH. I dont want to shut down my eyes.
If i am sold, best 3 replies will get 3 BSV, 2 BSV and 1 BSV respectively. Please Branch and like for visibility !
Here ya go. /pay @17446 $1
Glad to see you here, Marc!
In my opinion, BSV has the momentum in big-block Bitcoin right now. CashFusion and Bitcoin.com/Roger Ver are the only things going for BCH, and by comparison, I don't think they are enough to outcompete BSV. Better community.

You don't know if you can fake writing "I am writing code"?
Let's try.
"I am writing code for a machine-learning program that will fly us to Mars. It's written in Java and C++."
Hmm... didn't feel that difficult.

Cryptocurrency is secretly a long play to bankrupt all libertarians.
I'm ready to make my first Streamanity video. Let's talk about morality! Sent you an email.
I actually make that criticism in the opposite direction.
I think both the utilitarians and deontologists are taking their subjective preferences and trying to universalize them.
To say any outcome or an action is "objectively good" is hard for me.
Within that framework, the deontologist might look at appealing to "rules" as a better way of achieving your preferred outcome, while the utilitarian might look at the immediate actions themselves.
But in general, if you're saying that "claiming that the maximization of utility is objectively good presupposes the concept of objective good", then I agree.
Enjoying it. Initial thought:
When you say the utilitarians are always appealing to an objective standard of "good," I'm not sure that's true.
There's space for "the good" to be subjective, making "utility" a way of talking about personal preferences.
Nice - will take a listen.
To say “it's mathematically proven” is akin to saying “it's verbally proven.”
It merely means "the conclusions follow from the premises."
Mathematics is just a language, and like any other language, its propositions might or might not map onto reality.
I like cringe humor, but it's actually too much for me to handle.
By American standards, to be intelligent is to not be an idiot. To be moral is to not be immoral. To be competent is to not be incompetent.
My thoughts on the "Theory of Bitcoin" interviews with RXC and CSW.
Craig is an academic, but not in the good way. A bunch of shallow interdisciplinary knowledge.
