I like the idea as passwords/keys suck (people lose them a LOT) BUT it has to be done in a secure private way. Blinded biometrics or something where no company or person can access the biometric data

if they store the data on their server to be able to ID it later, it's a breach, blinded is a bit better. The problem with biometrics is that it is possible to steal the identification data and fake it, & hard to predict the cost of faking in the future

compare this is wallets with a password and a threshold backup where different companies hold hashes of your ID data. If you need recovery you contact a few of them and KYC to them. After validating it they delete KYC info. Nothing to steal at any point
