It is much easier for the Chinese government to seize my data from a private company then it is for a law abiding US company. I dont particularly want my private data, especially 3D facial recognition on ANYONE's private servers.

It literally literally literally IMO goes against everything that Bitcoin is supposed to represent.

I like the idea as passwords/keys suck (people lose them a LOT) BUT it has to be done in a secure private way. Blinded biometrics or something where no company or person can access the biometric data
if they store the data on their server to be able to ID it later, it's a breach, blinded is a bit better. The problem with biometrics is that it is possible to steal the identification data and fake it, & hard to predict the cost of faking in the future
compare this is wallets with a password and a threshold backup where different companies hold hashes of your ID data. If you need recovery you contact a few of them and KYC to them. After validating it they delete KYC info. Nothing to steal at any point
Can you recommend such third party services so we can look into?
No, sorry!
I don't know of any
Dear grandma, regarding your prejudice on everything Chinese, it is a result of how your media portrays us. Believe me, the chinese government has higher priorities, it has 0 interest on you. Everybody knows CIA and NSA are the biggest ‘peeping Tom’
