Sure. They are amazing devices and can be used for anything.
But when you are in public, doesn't it seem to you like everybody is being absorbed by them?
It's almost as if we leave behind the miracle of reality for a fake 2D representation of it.

Yes, no doubt, many are absorbed in public much of the time. But not all and not all the time. It's encouraging to see more awareness spreading of the habit forming nature of various apps, as well.
