Leading cause of death in the US is heart disease with 655k deaths per year. Averages around 1800 deaths a day. Last few weeks we averaged around 3k deaths per day due to covid. Atleast you cant give someone heart disease.

That's really where the numbers and facts would come in.
A) What mitigation strategies have been done that worked? How well?B) Which ones did not work?
C) Which ones should we have tried but didn't?

Mask. Number are up in counties with no mask mandate. Lockdowns are tough government should have paid us to stay home and not worried about corporations. The numbers went down but people got laxed the protest the rallies summer hit everyone listening /1
To twitter doctors were like "this is bull shit" people took it less serious. Numbers shot back up.
Masks are a no brainer. "Lockdowns" is a very ill defined term. I think an actual extreme lockdown would've helped in the beginning, no place in the world did that.
"Lockdowns" actual turn out to mean little other than senseless government harrasment.

Here in Canada, they didn't do ANYTHING at all. People get it all mixed up, we just have (slightly) less pre-existing conditions. The government did nothing to quarantine emergency workers, nothing to help the elderly, late on closing boarders.
We have alot of no brainers here. Talking about a piece of cloth over their face is violating their rights. Too much selfishness in the world. Too much self entitlement. Thats what happens when you grow up privledged.
US should have put a full stop on rents mortagages ect. Gave the citizens money to stay at home. But you know big corp wanted that economy moving to keep lining their already loaded pockets. The greed is too overwhelming
And winter just started. We in for it my dude and it hasnt been a year yet. We will be at abput 500k by the time February comes around making just about a full year.
If heart disease being the leading cause of death were contagious....everyone would be going nuts right now. The pandemic is real man. I think people just want to see people dying in the streets to believe it. Careful what you wish for
