Memes are shorthand reality. Meme wars are a battle for the minds of the populace, where the ultimate goal is to herd people into belief silos where their understanding of our shared present can be destroyed and rebuilt in the meme-general's chosen image

Usually meme generals are tech leaders and politicians. They change the psyches of whole nations with a flag, a red book, or even simply a fake vision of an abundant future. Anything the broken can be made to worship is usable in a meme war.

Meme generals can be identified easily if you know what to look for.
1: They make very few memes, but those memes are powerful
2: They have an army who build on their memes
3: They make promises, then don't deliver
4: Their army ignores their non-delivery
