I’ve been in the shower door/enclosure business for 21 years.

I’ve designed more than 11,500 shower enclosures.

Only 1 has had a roof.

Very rare.

i'm interested in the "cleanability". are the glass panels connected by brackets only or does this enclosure require silicone joints all around the glass panels?

The overwhelming majority of these units require silicone on some level both for its moisture-retention properties, and for structural redundancy.

A proper silicone application would be very cleanable, as it should “look like a machine did it.”

I call this the Hardman Rule.
