The signal is "come get this good thing," and the result is you pay, but may get a good thing, or may find your payment is food for a "predator" in that system.

I think there may be a solution to this, but... Needs more work before I would call it good.
Yet it's not in Baemail's interest to game the system, and it would be trivial to expose Baemail doing so.
