I think they’re gonna nail it despite the color change on snape. We already had the best Snape possible with Alan Rickman, now is a great opportunity to explore something with Snape that will make him even more interesting.

This series will have much more leeway to take its time and not rush.
It will have the dark tone of the final 3 books from the beginning and won’t need to have the playful hollywood kid’s movie tropes like the first two films did.
John Lithgow will be the definitive Dumbledore and these kids will be even better than the kids from the movies, who were almost all terrible actors who became decent through repetition.

I’d wait until the show comes out. VFX are notoriously the last thing finished and most trailers for movies I have worked on have shipped with temporary effects.
