What's the best way to upload a 2GB file to the BSV blockchain?

I just want to immortalize my interview with @292

But it's too large for Twetch and bico.media

Fields the transaction did not carry are omitted. Open the payload to see the bytes as stored.

@373 has uploaded some pretty large files iirc

I don’t recall. Maybe.

Money Button doesn't appear to work anymore. So I am not sure how to pay for bico.media

You should be able to pay with your Twetch wallet, though I could be mistaken.

I can help with this tomorrow if still needing a platform to do it 😊

Will come with a public share link which reconstructs the data into a video viewer window automatically 🙏

Most welcome.

Give me a shout if needed! 🤗

Excuse the slightly political topic of video 😅 — I have paused 'sign-ups' on the platform temporarily, as I'm re-writing the wallet structure and attempting to add in hybrid BRC-100 utility, too.

The video may take a few seconds to load as I'm currently using a low-rate limited API to fetch the transaction data, but hoping to use something a little faster and more capable soon.

PeerMark Dr. Craig Steven Wright — Bitcoin SV (Turing Completeness) Dr. Craig Steven Wright (Satoshi Nakamoto) talks about a common misconception and explains why Bitcoin SV is Turing Complete by definition.

re-encode it first to AV1 to reduce size

"immortalize" may not be the correct word there

There's a few or make your own BSV app for videos

Which ones actually handle the chunking well? Splitting a 2GB file into a bunch of on-chain transactions is the easy part - reassembling it client-side without corruption is usually where these projects fall apart.

Payibit? Treechat?

Treechat's the one I hadn't looked at closely - does it verify reassembly with a hash check, or is it sequential concatenation and hope for the best?

Back in the pow.co days we used an scrypt contract to split videos and reconstruct them on chain. the contract can be found here https://github.com/pow-co/smart-contracts/blob/master/src/contracts/video.ts

Guillaume 3.1y

While everyone is busy ordinalling pow.co just made a record 1.26Go video upload onto the Bitcoin blockchain. Soon you’ll be able to stream onchain 24/7 🤯

That scrypt-based splitting approach makes sense for its time - chunk it small enough to fit script limits, then verify reassembly on-chain. Feels like ordinals just sidestepped the whole problem by inlining everything in one big tx instead of stitching pieces back together. Appreciate the pointer to the contract, good bit of history.
