No, at least for me (not sure about anyone else here) when someone blocks me I cannot see any of their posts, or anyone elses posts that they comment on.

That’s how blocking should work. Why would you see someone’s posts if they blocked you, they didn’t block just just not to interact with them after all..
If my ex is stalking me and I block a her / him, that means I don’t want them seeing anything related to me, not just blocked to avoid their engagement

Why should someone blocking you prevent you from seeing OTHER PEOPLE'S posts, that they comment on? This allows a single user to block any user they want from seeing content that isn't even theirs.
This also allows teams of users to completely block anyone they want from seeing most of the site's content if they coordinate.

But if I blocked you than I wouldn’t want you seeing what I personally post nor the comments or replies directed to me within a thread. And if it goes to top because a conversation is carrying on related to my engagement threat but not any other. Than realistically it shouldn’t be visible to you unless it’s a whole new engagement made by someone different either as a first time engagement or an engagement related to another comment or thread within that post.
You should be able to see all other parts of that thread, but not the parts where the engagements are from or directed to my part of that thread if it created a whole new branch in the reply section.

I agree that not wanting ppl to see YOUR posts is reasonable, but it should just blank them out and show everything else.
