Why should someone blocking you prevent you from seeing OTHER PEOPLE'S posts, that they comment on? This allows a single user to block any user they want from seeing content that isn't even theirs.

This also allows teams of users to completely block anyone they want from seeing most of the site's content if they coordinate.
It's objectively retarded.
Block me from seeing YOUR posts, sure, but block me from seeing everything you comment on too? Retarded.

True.
will fix
Don’t know or care for that..
But if I blocked you than I wouldn’t want you seeing what I personally post nor the comments or replies directed to me within a thread. And if it goes to top because a conversation is carrying on related to my engagement threat but not any other. Than realistically it shouldn’t be visible to you unless it’s a whole new engagement made by someone different either as a first time engagement or an engagement related to another comment or thread within that post.
You should be able to see all other parts of that thread, but not the parts where the engagements are from or directed to my part of that thread if it created a whole new branch in the reply section.
Why should anyone be able to block you from seeing other peoples content or even replies to you?
I agree that not wanting ppl to see YOUR posts is reasonable, but it should just blank them out and show everything else.
Randy will fix, he said.
Well that's good because I have to use alt accounts if i want to see all the posts here now because a bunch of people have blocked me. Goes with the territory.
Because that’s still part of stocking and protects the user
Bro anyone can just make another account or use any number of methods to see your posts if they were stalking you.
So blocking here does nothing, actually.
In which case, the current way it's implemented is broken af and super abusable.
