My conspiracy theory- for sainthood Craig needs to perform multiple miracles.
First was to create a new global currency that can keeps governments and criminals in check. Done.
However, proving gubbies and courts cannot be trusted to a world of sheeple is another thing. So Craig sent the 26.9 BTC to Genesis as an insurance policy. If the courts of men prove themselves dishonest at the final gavel, we get the press conference we've all been waiting for and the dead man's switch is flipped. Miracle 2 complete.
Then we get 3rd Act Satoshi (Craig the White) who returns to his an-cap roots and reigns hellfire upon the system. A monster of their own making.
