Remember when everyone said that if China dumped all its treasury holdings it would be catastrophic for the US dollar? Well, everything that China owns represents less than half of what the Fed monetized in the past 6 weeks. Welcome to the new normal 😂

What do you think it would happen if they did not print them? Everything would be fine and your USDs would be more valuable?

Case 1 Fed doesn't print money like fools: Depression.

Case 2 Fed prints money like fools: Depression, worthless USD, lost credibility, New status as third world nation and all that implies.

What do you think is the effect of Fed support on diminishing the severity of the depression?

Fed only makes things worse. They have bogus tools: 1. change interest rates and 2. print money. Printing money creates inflation, albeit there is a delay. Manipulating interest rates prevents/delays the corrective behavior of the free market.

What would you propose be the solution Randy? Would you reopen the economy now? I personally think we could see as much as 40% of small businesses not opening back up. Our economy is getting hammered right now.

There should never be any government meddling in the economy, with the occasional exception of international affairs. The market knows best and runs smoothest when it's not manipulated. The market can't evolve appropriately with constant manipulation...

..We are in the position we're in because of govt manipulation. Recessions and depressions are not natural in an unmanipulated market. Bubbles exist because of government acting as a central planner for the economy. The economy will crash if govt doesn't..

.. do anything, but it will crash even harder when it becomes absolutely inevitable. If the dollar becomes hyperinflated, then there will be nothing more that the government can do. It will be all out of cards, and that's when the super crash will come.
