Work doesn't have to be boring, but most of the time, the most important work includes things you aren't interested in doing.
Of course, this is just a way to agree with you :)
The most profound changes happen bit by bit over a long period and then all at once.
I find that gardening is a relaxing and annoying pastime to remind you that beautiful results are not only worth waiting for, there are many moments and challenges to appreciate along the way.
I ought to try taking up gardening again. The last time I tried gardening was last year; I was trying to grow yellow bell peppers from seed, but of the three I planted, only two germinated and those seedlings died quickly. Quite a disheartening experience.
Nature (or circumstance) doesn't always cooperate. In my small space, half of the sunflower seedlings have leaves munched by slugs. A few bush beans have been taken out, probably by birds. I woke up this morning to one lupin with ALL leaves slug-eaten.
Tomato and peppers from seed can be tricky for beginners. I have lots of tips if you are interested (based on experience and trial and error in the last decade). Overwatering can be a problem, something that I relearned this year. They need lots of light.
imagine it were easy
If changing the world is really annoying, slow, and boring, then what does that make waiting on the world to change?
