Modern people seem to forget that technology is not science. While the development of technology can be aided by discoveries from the scientific method, the method of developing technology itself is not scientific and far precedes science itself.

Just because something is legal doesn't mean it's good.
Just because something is illegal doesn't mean it's bad.
At least if we are quarantined from normal social interaction, the benevolent technocrats who lobbied for this quarantine have given us social media!
...
At least if we are prisoners, the guards have given us crumbs of bread.
Sovereign nation states with a society of people with homogeneous cultural values (and often homogeneous ethnicity) build the strongest nations. Disrupt that and things destabilize. Welcome to Western-Europe.
Aristocracy and oligarchy are natural manifestations of human nature. In all human beings, a small proportion of people want to be free and take on the burden of making decisions.
Most people want the security and peace of mind given by instructions.
Only people who feel an allegiance to a country will fight for it.
"Exit" as a popular strategy tells us that global citizens who can move anywhere, and multicultural communities unconnected to each other, are not conducive for building strong nations.
A big house is happiest when it’s filled with a big happy family, eating, singing, laughing and being merry.
It glows, because it is the fire of humanity. In it, is everything we’re fighting for.

Maybe we are so attached to the concept of the ego because we need an actor to understand moving through the world. By realizing this is a mental model, we can see that we are part of our environment: simultaneously influenced by it and influencing it.
In physical maps, a person can separate themselves from the landscape as an entity moving through it. But in the phenomenological realm, you are a part of the landscape. You are changing too. To observe your ego while inhabiting your ego is a big challenge
Unlike maps of the physical world, that are already filled in, maps of the phenomenological world are ones we must constantly update as we move through it. Our ideas about human beings, how ideas interact and function, no truly comprehensive map exists.
I am trying out Rarible as a cool new way to share artwork. I've put some of mine on there, if you are curious to see :) #rarible
Articulating an idea is an act of dissociation. Articulation means to distinguish from the rest, to draw a line. This separates the idea from you. It is no longer a part of you, and yet may represent you eternally.
The idea that you can gain "experience" from being in relationships that teaches you how to be a better partner with good communication skills is contrived. If you are with a good person to begin with, vetted by wiser people, you can learn with them.
Young girls who find a good man do so from luck, or because they have people older and wiser looking out for them, and even better, exposing them to more formidable options than underachieving, video game addicted boys who just happen to be in their class.
A very damaging idea proposed by modern western culture is that girls should date in their teens. No young girl has the judgement to recognize a good man. And when she gets the experience to recognize him, she will be too jaded and damaged to attract him.
"Ideas are not immortal, they are a piece of a human being carved out of our minds and made immortal. Something must be sacrificed for such a powerful ritual"
Ideas from my journal
If sin is self-centred, then a self-centred attitude prevents you from seeing the game; you confuse your perspective with the reality of the world. Hunting fish in water, where you see the fish is not where it is. One who sins then misses the mark.
Just because you were victimized is no guarantee that you would not have victimized others in the same position. The logical fallacy made by the progressive generation is that being a victim makes you morally superior. In reality, it just makes you weak.
Repentance in Greek, μετάνοια, translates to: a change in perspective. Sin is self-centred, we see our actions only through our point of view, our suffering, desires...To repent is to see the world through God’s perspective, and not merely an apology.
All translated texts lose meaning such as this. Which is why the study of ancient languages can be so useful, when uncovering eternal truths that were understood and painstakingly preserved by our ancestors.
Every day we find morsels of heaven in the mundane, if only we have the eyes to see and the heart to love.
