The written revelation of God was written in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek, not old English, that was not settled in heaven.

"if therefore thine eye be single" Eye be single? The NIV and its footnote gives more context which ties with the preceding verses.

And hence I read both. I have no problems with the scriptural claims around textus receptus, but the refusal to update it to modern english (NKJV is not it), seems to me that the old english itself has become an idol.

I care more that Jesus is Truth than the amount of BSV I have. Can't buy forgiveness and redemption.

I was raised atheist, did not come to the faith going to church or the Bible. It was through revelation similar to Paul. On that day, the womam God sent to be with me read John to me from her NIV Bible.

If God used NIV to speak his Word to me, so will I.
