Depends upon the coin, I think. If gold & silver were legal tender again, per von Mises, the utility value would increase. Hence the value would increase. If BSV's utility increases, at least temporarily, its value should increase.

Your cart is before the horse. Gov't size must be reduced first. Wean the masses from the state next. Set strict laws against gov't expansion. Have legal philosophers design the supports with voluntary payments their goal. Perhaps a lottery based system.

I live in reality. That's all I have. But submission to the state is not by choice. It's a necessity. Every inch I take back is a success. BSV, though complaint with gov'ts (probably not by choice) is a foot. But there are many miles to go.

I'm as free as I can be. Compulsory taxation is an ancient failure. Taxes must be voluntary. Roads, railroads, schools, etc., should be private. Only gov't agencies that protect liberty, life and property should exist. National ID? No. Private ID.

I think the better question is: by what right can anyone enslave me? That's the reality. A revolution 'in thinking' is needed...again. Like Thomas Jefferson said, one is necessary every 19 years or so.
