Sometimes I lay awake at night wondering what the value would be today of the bitcoin I stored on a thumbstick I lost many years ago. Any recommendations on storing your currencies outside of third parties? Or just, don't lose your thumbstick?

I like the idea of replacing government controlled currencies. I don't care which one does it. So, I could see fast transactions with low fees being a benefit to mass adoption. It is unclear to me where a fee goes if there is no intermediary though. ???

Thanks for replying! Regarding ideas, I'm intrigued by the idea of somehow replacing government controlled currencies. Ultimately, my worldview is that voluntary=better. At least in the long run and for everyone. Coercive transactions are zero sum.

Thanks for the reply! I'm guessing the info in the picture will make more sense to me as I learn more because it's mostly Greek to me. I don't even understand what a "block" is and therefore don't understand the implications of differing block sizes

I wonder if there's a time of day that sees the most activity on Twetch resulting in an optimal time frame to share your thoughts. Perhaps an over saturation could have the opposite effect though. The market equilibrates I guess.

I've been dabbling in crypto through Coinbase for several years. Clearly Coinbase is a third party. It's unclear to me how to transact directly on the blockchain... also, what is the blockchain?

Where is a good place to start learning more about crypto currencies? What's the difference between BTC, BCH, and BSV (or are they the same)? What is important about those differences?
