I’m back ✨😘
Thank you! :) x
Updateeeee
Mayim Bialik really has produced my favourite podcast of all time - I love that everything she talks about has scientific basis - even when she stretches into spirituality, chakras & traditional eastern medicine
Sounds like another Andrew Wakefield
It’s not just the risk of getting long-COVID or dying though. It’s every time the virus passes through someone it may mutate to become stronger. Like antibiotics.
😂😂❤️ love that lol
Mmm Yh here in the U.K. I find it despicable that they had ‘eat out to help out’ whilst gyms were closed last year. I had a friend whose auntie was mid-30s with no known underlying health conditions who died due to it. We just don’t know enough about it.
Overall I’m not sure where we’re headed, maybe we’re being geared up for a mass human war, I don’t think my day-to-day interactions are that bad to point in that direction. On the smaller scale, I still think the vaccine is legit x
Truth, I know some of them: epidemiologists, researchers, professors... they're good well meaning people who are working extremely hard to help the spread of this virus
At one of*
Mm yeah fucking hell especially with the left. I’ve had a lot of arguments about trans rights/ trans definitions with people and they get so emotional if you try to critique anything
Exactly 😩 the lab researchers that have slaved away years in university are not getting paid enough to be part of some world-domination scheme 😭
You should get a vaccine IMO because your immunity to COVID from when you last had it will wear off in 6-8 months - despite surviving it, you’re still risking catching it again, potentially mutating the strain, and then passing it on to others.
Absolutely agree with you. Do I think shady things are happening with the vaccine rollout? Yes. Does that discount the quality research and efficacy of vaccines in general? No. There's a middle ground here. We need vaccines
Technically, probably not. Because the virus is so new we haven’t got as much data to work with. We can say for certain 6 months, but it’s likely it’ll last longer. The quicker the vaccine is deployed, the sooner it will stop spreading.
You have every right to be skeptical, I was too :) I study one of the top 5 medical schools in the U.K. - if you ever want to talk about the science I’m happy to, and I know people far more qualified than me also x
Yeah, I really feel for the elderly, especially those who are nearing the end of their lives anyway ☹️ I think above all we’re protecting those in 40s/50s/60s with families to support, especially those with vulnerabilities.
BUT there is definitely something to be said about being fined for not following Covid rules. That feels like bs, & I really understand the sentiment of masks = muzzles. I just wonder if places become such nanny states they don’t know whether to trust ppl
Yeah I think that’s really important to consider, but difference being people aren’t getting killed for critiquing the vaccine; as soon as countries in the EU raised issues with blood clot statistics (for AZ) it was withdrawn for further review x
Stuck? Also you haven’t answered mine yet xx
Yeah I mean the more you guys speak about the US the more corrupt and awful it sounds. Vaccine passports would be free here which is why I think we’ve got more room for academic debate. That’s fucked. Free healthcare!
Question, would they have died during this period if they had not had COVID ?
He’s heading a review, doesn’t mean it’ll happen. ppl in gov are v fiercely against on both Tory and Labour sides. ‘Vaccine Passport’ is also not really an accurate label atm, as if you test negative for corona w/o vaccine, you’d have a ‘passport’
Both as in Gove and Blair, presumably?
