Today I spent $0.27 liking, branching, and responding to twetches. My responses, both clever and pithy (if I do say so myself), made but $0.05. You should elect me president, apparently I have nothing worthwhile to say and deficit spending is my thing!

Here is the deal... Many people are focused on the income gap. I can prove to you in dozens of ways how GOV is the main driver of income inequality. The FED GOV is the biggest and best at it. Go to the suburbs of DC and look, then ask, what do they make?
I cant even think of something immoral the government does. Like maybe i dont know enough about law but. I agree if you steal, kill stuff like that is bad and the government agrees with me
Unity is simply an appeal to tribalism intended to keep people subservient to the ruling elite & federal government. Follow the money, there are huge problems that have NOTHING whatsoever to do with the things the media and politicians have us focused on.
I feel forced to watch my savings erode as the government spends trillions of dollars, manipulates interest rates, and prints money. Again, this sole purpose is to enrich the financial industrial complex, the bankers, lobbyists, and politicians.
I feel forced to support endless war whose sole purpose is to enrich all the individuals in the Military Industrial Complex, which undoubtedly includes large portions of the congressional members stock portfolios.
"When People Realize..." When you start a idea with a false premise, the idea collapses. I'd love to be more optimistic, but honestly I feel like the vast majority of people will accept government authority just as public school has programmed them to do.
If I am not for myself, who will be for me? And being for myself, what am 'I'? And if not now, when? - Hillel the Elder
Concept of subjective truth is a distraction. Incentives, results, relationships, quality of life, probabilities, trade-offs, gratification (delayed or otherwise), joy, sorrow, love. These are all subjective, but nonetheless true. Understanding is Truth.
True but it's clearly not the desire for competition and differentiation that drives the choices of government, nor for that matter the desire for free fully-alive humans. If it was, why would US have doubled down on the Prussian model of Public Ed?
My first mention! 😊😊
Not sure what it's in reference to, but I'll take it.
Simple, diffused costs and concentrated benefits. The law of large numbers means that the diffused costs are imperceptible and the concentrated benefits ENORMOUS!! Why do you think DC has ballooned so much in the last century?
In today's economic climate with cheap ass money and highly lenient bankruptcy laws, what keeps you from becoming very highly leveraged while pocketing high profits, only to declare bankruptcy to discharge or restructure that debt when in hard times.
Talc is know to occur naturally with asbestos, so watch your breathing around it. JK, true on the mineralogy but NP as long as you don't crush and grind it. :) Little known fact, fine ground talc is used as a lubricant/static barrier so plastic bags open
I do not wonder why Soy is replacing milk, nor do I wonder why corn syrup and sugar is in everything, nor why the government propagated the food pyramid with starches made from wheat & corn at the bottom, nor why gas is full of ethanol.
I can't quite twitter because there I don't go broke there when nobody likes my ... wait... oh... 😬😣
All of this can be true, and still does not mean that the folks involved in orchestrating the false flag don't still feel strongly that their cause is just and the ends justify the means. This is why founders sought individual freedom over all else.
Ironically, the very box the founders attempted to put the federal government into has become its armor. I often wonder if we'd been better off with a parliamentary system or maybe the issues are deeper. For sure the current duopoly ensures intransigence.
In fact, I don't believe there really is a conscious effort toward one world gov. Instead it's like Kudzu, it was introduced to solve a 'problem(s)'. Then it simply grows until it pulls down everything around it. There are no natural or inherent limits.
I think a lot about Hanlon's Razon, and as mildly autistic person, I tend to look at behaviors and incentives, rather than having an emotional reaction to their assumed motives. I think it unlikely that any one person or even group of people is responsible
Its entirely possible that every person is well intended and believes fully in what they are doing and why they are doing it, but it is just the logical result of trying to apply a representative democratic system over 330 mill people and 3.8 mill sq mi.
I have a diff theory, what if this isn't orchestrated at all, but still a complete nonsensical farce. Both things can be true. The comment that 'most tyrants start out as saviors' is probably better said that they 'see themselves' as such.
No question that major TV sports have become the modern day munera, distracting and propagandizing the populace while politicians simultaneously rob and manipulate them. It saddens me, but I think I'm done with NFL, NBA, NCAA, etc.
I like your frame of optmsm/pesmsm. I tend to use understanding vs confusion. Lack of reason create stress & conflict. You can suppress that with positivity, but lasting fix is a consistent philosophy that explains life even if the picture isn't pretty.
Interesting perspective, first two lines are identical for me, but the third is
Me: What I AM worried about is all the things that are really wrong that you, and the majority of people, have absolutely no idea about, let alone an informed opinion on.

Agree, but fear that alone to be insufficient, more must recognize the game and call it out: Military.. Law Enforcement.. Prison.. Banking.. Medical.. Educational.. Industrial Complexes inflame differences in class, income, and race and profit accordingly.

Which part? I don't disagree with most of what you say, although I might argue that centralization unencumbered by the state would make us wealthier due to comparative advantage. Paradox is that it almost surely leads to the death spiral described above.
Data ownership, also content quality. prior platform was a backwater sports board that had some real quality posters. Unfortunately Covid turned them all into scared Karens. Maybe social media will decentralize so critical mass may be smaller than we think
