absolutely and the spectrum can range anywhere from classy to distasteful, I'm sure you understand why that's extremely offensive
@450 - is that supposed to be a joke?
@4 i'm also really trying to understand this post ... what's the message?
I think it's safe to say that we have a leadership problem in the United States, at every level on both sides of the aisle (i've thought this for a long time). As citizens it's on us to demand better and do better. It starts in our local communities.
the real story here is the decades of systemic racism and abuses of power (not an indictment on all police). our policy leaders have ignored these issues for too long. similar to our public education systems, healthcare policies, and growing national debt
the unfortunate result of the violence//looting from the weekend is that it will distract ppl from the real message of the protests ... in the media, it will be used to distract people from the real story - same as when Kaepernick took a knee
i feel targeted ... so close to glory and so far away at the same time
this is not an indictment on police officers! I have nothing but respect. Trevor Noah talks about the difference between US police and South African police in this podcast (https://tinyurl.com/yamwhb8s). his thoughts are anecdotal, yet powerful.
it's in particularly poor taste to pick a fight w/ twitter when there are more examples of the daily racial injustices happening in the US: Ahmaud Arbery, George Floyd, Christian Cooper, and Briana Taylor - imagine if his motivations were aligned elsewhere
and I promise you, the names don't end there ... nothing is perfect, we all know this. case in point, the cop who killed George Floyd had a hefty wrap sheet (multiple suspect shootings on the job). AKA Derek Chauvin was a murderer.
long story, short, more respect needs to be given to the individual citizen. and, yes, I agree there's a need to be vigilant and ready to use force if necessary. but, in most cases, a two way street of respect would eliminate these scenarios. rant over.
please don't misunderstand me ... i believe both sides need to be checked more appropriately! but, reading this headline makes me feel like I'm looking directly into the twilight zone: https://tinyurl.com/y95hm4x7
i love that we're maxing out on irony with Trump signing an executive order against social media companies nearly 4 years after Facebook played a big role in him winning his first election
you guys should hammer Trump with the "join Twetch" campaign ...
@24 talks about some of that here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2765PgtHkVk ... @13459 have you seen this?...what is the value of a network effect? and how would it protect Bitcoin in that scenario? the court of public opinion is still a strong one
this is the second post on Einstein I've seen this week, let us not forget ... he married his cousin !!!!
right on ✊✊ ... the storm is only beginning to brew
I'm getting into the object-oriented part of my python course (building methods and classes), my brain is like 🤯
the world needs updates on the cuisine of choice!!
the branch this twetch, follow me, i'll follow back and like your twetches game on the main feed reminds me of pic4pic back in the myspace days ... i respect the hustle tho 💦👁️🚰
is it just me or does referring to BTC's value as a "digital gold" a direct contradiction of the attempt to create a widely adopted new form of currency? if anything, it proves the point that it isn't to be used on a regular basis
on chain voting solution -- a wonderfully simple solution to a massively relevant problem. covid data mismanagement is another problem solved on chain. other issues BSV solves in our recent line of vision? PPP loan fiasco, EasyJet data breach to name a few
