I have made progress in embracing the concept of delayed gratification, but I still have a ways to go.
I believe Cain's efforts were not rewarded because, in his heart, he expected something in return, something instant. His sacrifice wasn't unconditional.
Even with quite some progress over the years, I still have too many Cain moments.
