Charging a miniscule amount to discourage abuse is not new. It's been done since 2013 I think. And your scenario is by no means a win win. Would you stay?

Msny companies actually give you value for money. Some actually give you good, free stuff willingly with a view to making more from you intime. A succesful approach I think. I like the 100:120 principle going forward.
I have the ability to chose. Encouraging those who don't to move along is an appaling strategy, and one the riff raff you refere to would probably applaud.
Also I wonder if this is the first time coil and cynamon have been written into the bitcoin blockchain? Kind of nice if it is. They may end up using bitcoin as well.
Dare I say coil.com and cynamon video. Apps are not as developed, but the payments potential looks better, including streeming. The 100:120 approach to charging for content that is normally "free" is attractive. 100% free, 20% enhanced payed for content.
My first Twetch. First impressions: MB and TW top notch apps ( with some more work needed on TW in time) However, TW comes across as a money grab. Does everything have to cost (a follow, a black theme etc)? I've seen better micro payments for social media.
