The easy part of self help is buying the course, purchasing the gym membership, ordering the book, etc.
The hardest part is finishing the course, exercising consistently, and actually applying the book, etc.
Resources aren't rare.
Execution is.
While you're busy replying to the comments that people make about your work, don't forget to do the work that generates the comments.
It's easier to be mad about the wrong thing than to be committed to replacing it with the right thing.
Become interesting to yourself before you stress out over being interesting to other people.
You can't make others come alive from a place of feeling dead inside.
Each new level of success is a shit-test for the next level of growth.
People who wish to limit your thinking will focus only on the SOURCE.
They want you to judge things based on WHO or WHERE it came from.
To think critically, you must focus on SUBSTANCE.
You have to question things regardless of prejudices & preferences.
An easy way to manipulate people is to make them feel stupid when they give attention to certain topics & thinkers.
"You're an idiot for listening to X."
Think for yourself, be willing to learn from everyone, & never give anyone a free pass to your mind.
You can’t build your future on the foundation of someone else's confidence.
"Do your own research" is more than a slogan.
It's a necessity for survival.
The more you create, the less dramatic you feel about the imperfections in your work.
The less you create, the more pressure you put on yourself to be perfect.
If you want to overcome perfectionism and impostor syndrome, create more frequently.
Today's Two Cents:
"Your Pain is the Reason They Will Remember Your Name."
It's hard to make progress if you view success as some sort of scandal that shouldn't be desired.
If you want to be great, start celebrating greatness wherever you see it.
To those overwhelmed by "read a book per week" culture:
If it takes you 52 weeks to read a book that changes your life, you still win the prize.
The prize isn't the pride of saying "Yeah, I read that."
It's the joy of knowing "Yeah, I'm living that."
"To be an anarchist, to say the very least, requires a strong hide when it comes to social hostility and disapproval."

Better to learn slowly and surely than to live surely and stupidly.
Create like you'll never run out of ideas.
The world isn't doing you a favor by letting you exist.
You don't need to avert your gaze when you cross the path of others.
You don't need to bow your head and whisper when you speak.
Be who you are without apology.
You belong here.
Act like it.
Identify one constructive thing you can believe in besides politics.
Start representing that thing with the same vigor you bring to politics.
This is how we change the world.
Doubting yourself all the time?
That's just another habit you can unlearn.
You can be average at 3-4 different things while being the best in the world at combining those things in an interesting & unique way.
Excellence isn't about excelling at everything.
It's about finding a valuable point of intersection that's YOUR thing.
"What would I be willing to do if it didn't cost anything?
The answer reveals your passion.
"What would I be willing to do if it cost me everything?"
The answer reveals your priorities.
Your life is determined by your priorities, not your passions.
Beware the gamification of your time, energy, and attention.
If it's not part of a larger game you're playing, then you're probably being played.
In my Morgan Freeman voice: "There can only be one Emperor."
You're doing great work, @24. This just happens to be one of the hardest things to do.
There are no powerful ideas without people who choose to be powerful.
All ideas are fragile.
It’s only our willingness to put them to work that makes them strong.
Thank you. Let me know when the video is up so I can check it out.
Give your best energy to your biggest priorities.
Then you can work on the other stuff with the enthusiasm and creative energy that comes from making progress on the results that matter most to you.
Live a story that’s going to be ridiculously fun to tell.
