A teacher helps you believe in your ability to learn.
It doesn't matter where this experience takes place.
It doesn't matter if they're smarter than you.
Anyone who helps you get over the humps & hurdles that hinder your grasp of something is a teacher.
Life is like a best of 7 NBA playoff series:
Sometimes you lose individual battles, but...
Remember that it’s a series, make adjustments, and bounce back.
You don’t need to go undefeated in order to become a champion.
The greatest reward for creating things isn't a well-written book or a well-composed song.
It's a well-formed soul, a well-developed mind, and an inner wellspring of self-determination that doesn’t depend on being in a good mood to do meaningful work.
"You should be on Twitter."
"You should be on Instagram."
"You should be on YouTube."
"You should be on Tik Tok."
"You should do ABC, XYZ, 123, DVD..."
Or...
Maybe you're free to keep it simple by eliminating every tool that doesn't serve you.
Without a clear understanding of your “why," your “how” will be just another stressful thing to manage and keep up with.
All the time you spend voting and thinking about candidates could have been spent on something whose outcome you actually control. Everyone would be better off if we all focused more on things we can control.
1/2 I thought it was very interesting for all the philosophical concepts/questions it illustrated. The writing did feel forced at times, but there were lots of redeeming qualities.
2/2 . I think lots of people were disappointed because the preview seemed to sell a different kind of story. I think a lot of folks were expecting "Honey, I shrunk the kids!"

Two notes on freedom:
We'll always have to fight for it in one way or another.
We have to learn how to enjoy it WHILE we fight for it.

When people push your buttons, use it as an opportunity to dissolve your buttons.
Give no one the power to dictate how you focus your energy.

Techniques are a supplement, not a substitute, for self-knowledge and self-respect.
If your windows of opportunity seem to be closing, build new windows.
As long as you’re breathing, there’s never an expiration date for becoming more fully alive.
The path forward begins with being honest and clear with yourself about what you want.
"Where there is no vision, the people will perish."
There's a difference between "reading" and "opening your heart to be transformed by ideas."
George Washington Carver once said "If you love something deeply enough, it will whisper its secrets to you."
The best way to learn it is to love it.
We transfer concepts by speaking through propositions.
We transfer conviction by speaking through stories.
TK's Two Cents: Navigating Negative Emotions & Facing the Blank Page
"I get out of all your boxes. The system is a joke. You'd be smart to save your soul. Escape the mind control. Oh, just get out. Of this social purgatory. Just get out. All these traditions are a lie. Just get out."
-Lauryn Hill, I Get Out
Don’t make a god out of positive emotions.
Pursue and practice what you love, but don’t confuse "love" with always feeling cozy, comfortable, and cheerful.
Imagine a guy who exercises daily, studies daily, develops new skills daily, grinds on his side hustle after work daily, but still has a long way to go before he's financially independent.
If this guy was BSV, people would be like "that guy is a loser."
Pursue conversations where you have no idea what to expect.
Here's the replay from today's "TK's Two Cents" Livestream where I talk about "How to Avoid the Devil's Greatest Trick and How to Become an Angel's Advocate."

If you're constantly worried about how people are going to push back against what you say on social media, you're not building a brand.
You're building a box.
