Philosophical Fomo: a condition in which a person finds it difficult to terminate an unproductive discussion because of a fear of missing out on the mere possibility that something good will come out of it if they hang in there for more time.

Beautifully said.
We are the leaders that we seek.
The question is not "How can we find the right angels for the job?"
The question is "How can we use our own power to incentivize these devils to do the right thing even when they'd rather do something else?"
I trust incentives, not institutions.
I don't want politicians who "love" me.
I want incentives that compel respect for individual rights even when they hate me.
T.K. Coleman has marked himself safe from the illusion that politicians are a source of salvation.
This would be really cool.
Learning is a lifestyle, not a life stage.
Pursue knowledge in the same way you take showers.
Instead of taking pride in how much you've done it in the past, try to remember how much you're going to stink if you don't keep doing it regularly.
If you’re looking for a fool-proof approach to personal growth, there isn’t one.
Every piece of advice is capable of making your life worse if you don't think critically and creatively about how to apply it to YOUR life.
Creativity isn’t a consolation prize that you settle for when life lets you down.
Creativity is life itself.
To play the game, you have to remember that the game is bigger than the play.
Don't let one bad moment, stop you from building momentum.
In every 🏀 game, the winning team has missed shots, bad fouls, lapses on defense, and turnovers on offense.
The moral: you don't need every play to go your way in order to control the tempo, execute your strategy, weather the storms, and finish strong.
If you want to do good, purify yourself of the need to be seen as someone who always does the right thing.
Yes and you truly train your mind to be an idea machine by seeing other people's ideas as them passing you the ball rather than as them trying to slam dunk on you.
Option 1: Craig's patents are impractical, unenforceable, and composed of meaningless technobabble.
Option 2: Craig's patents are bad for the space because they will hinder innovation.
I think people are slowly and surely becoming better speculators too. While some will dismiss it as merely detached diversification, I see binance's decision to mine BSV to be one indicator of this.
I refuse to be intimidated by anything happening in this world.
Even if it crushes me under its feet, I'll never join the chorus of hopelessness & fear.
If I go out, I go out fighting for freedom until the very end.
Determined optimism is my only path.
Ideas, like people, have images.
Good ideas, like good people, can be rejected due to the negative images people have of them.
How we represent ideas aesthetically is just as important as how we defend ideas philosophically.
Help people SEE your ideas.
Human beings naturally form tribes based on common interests, common values, common sufferings, & other things.
Those who fear this, must learn to not equate community w/ communism.
Those who embrace this must learn to not equate community w/ conformity.
Identifying with a group isn't the same as refusing to be an individual.
Christians, for instance, frequently speak in terms of "My Christian brothers/sisters" or "We're persecuted," without rejecting the fact that we disagree w/ each other on things.
Many people are so politicized in their thinking that they have a very narrow ability to acknowledge/appreciate the merits of tribes, groups, & communities without feeling like it forces them to endorse the policies advocated by their political opponents.
And on the other hand, there are people who feel so attached to their group identity that they don't give themselves permission to challenge their communities because they fear it would be a form of backstabbing and betrayal.
The most important conversations will always be the most risky conversations.
Conversing is like investing:
The more you want you want to get out of it, the more you have to stake.
Freedom of speech ≠ Freedom from backlash.
Cause & effect = still real.
Social consequences = still real.
"I can't say anything nowadays..." isn't true.
You can say what you want.
You just have to be willing to own the risks that go w/ what you say.
Be careful out there.
The media can convince you that you're being attacked in all sorts of ways that don't match your actual experiences.
If you're going to play defense, at least think for yourself about who the real enemies are.
The real battle isn't Left versus Right.
It's Freedom versus Force.
It's Creativity versus Coercion.
It's Voluntaryism versus Violence.
"Remember who the real enemy is."
Change is easier said than done, but better done than said.
You have the right to establish healthy boundaries when determining who you need to please and appease.
I wish more people knew about this man.
Pro tip: Don't talk smack about former employers at job interviews.
It's like talking smack about your Ex on a 1st date. Even if you're right, it's rarely a good look.
Focus on what you learned at prior roles & highlight what you can bring to new ones.
