Those who redefine well known words to fit their argument, have neither a good argument nor are interested in discussion. There is no fruitful dialogue possible, beware of that when you need to interact with those.

Evolution is a harsh mistress, if your ideology prevents healthy offspring, it will eventually die out. But don't be too pessimistic, due to mutation at some point it will be reborn. In a sense evolution is the ultimate open market economy.

I've observed that frequently those who are the loudest supporters of socialism have the most obnoxious asocial behaviour.

No matter how you dress it up, preferential treatment based on protected attributes is discrimination. If those attributes happen to be heritage and location of origin it is also racist. If they relate to gender and/or gender identity, it is sexism.

They also all happen to be equally dead. Death is the great equalizer. those who advocate for equality of outcome are by consequence also advocating for suffering and death.

IMO Inflation in 'fiat' is required to have the ability to prevent supply to become inaccessible and thus hinder the functioning of an open market. However as demonstrated people and thus banks and governments can't be trusted with this responsibility.

Considering nazism is based on national socialism whilst communism on international socialism, both systems have resulted in the loss of liberty and life, perhaps it is prudent to understand the commonality between those two to avoid future repetition.

Curious, from my observation it has been mainly racists using racists rhetoric that bring up race equality.

Absolutely, it is wasted effort to get the 0.01% of the population to switch from one thing to another, when you could use that energy to invite the other 99.99%, even if most of them go to the 'competitor' it is still a huge net plus.

Yeah I don't think you'll regret it, I deleted facebook about two years ago and there wasn't a single day since then that I regretted doing that, following that experience I also removed my twitter. Some social media platforms are just toxic to the soul.

For the repair, diesel or the toxic anti-fouling? Don't get me wrong, I like big boats but I am not to keen on hypocrisy and commercial faux activism.

Yeah I can imagine, twitter I primarily stopped because I really didn't like their business conduct, though being so pedantically principled doesn't do me any favours, so I don't judge others who are by all accounts a bit more grown up about it :-)

I think it has more to do with the 'reasonable' part and less with the 'enviromentalist/lefty' part. If there is no requirement to categorise it is prudent not to do so unless wanting to show your own bias.

My observation; Communism does work, within the boundaries of your family, socialism does work within the boundaries of your social circle. What is important to realise that these can only work if the overall structure is based on liberty.

Proof, well, we know that every major civilisation (going all the way back to the Sumerians) at one point or another had a figure with similar accomplishment as our current understanding of Jesus, not entirely sure what it proofs though :-)

Yes I wouldn't recommend suicide to proof a point, as far as we know there is only one life, so it is rather precious commodity and I rather enjoy our conversations so I personally I feel it would be a shame if that would be removed from our future.
