It strikes me that if one is going to buy or hold a crippled BTC, with Lightning not doing much, at prices over $9k and these two cases and their facts dangled in the balance, then that person is going to bed with a lot of make believe in their head. JMHO.

In Kleiman, there is too much smoke for there not to be some Satoshi fire.

I’m interested in the angle that the Panama Papers played in iFinex. It speaks to hiding entity structure. My gut says ifinex plays out in civil. However, without a raid or cooperation through a criminal investigation, civil discovery will = joke, itc.

Agreed. I can’t determine if the market has been just been ignoring iFinex but it smells Mt. Gox 2.0. While bitcoin, in isolation, operates without trusting third parties, some of ”our” old problems are brought to the dance.

Item 172 in Leibowitz v. IFinex underscores the importance of correspondent banking in exchanging fiat for crypto and back.

SETTLENET appears to be attempting the JPY equivalent to UDST as a bridge. Will any ole fiat do??

Which case do you think is more important for the direction of crypto/bitcoin? Kleiman v. Wright or Leibowitz v. IFinex??

For Kleiman to win, then CSW would be proven to have been Satoshi.

If CSW is proven to be Satoshi, then market forces will damage crypto establishment and there will be a lot less to recover from iFinex et al. Conflict?

I don’t know if the conspiracy runs that deep. The strategy on the Kleiman side may be to pursue a stalemate until “interest” can be shifted/establish lockup period. CSW needs a dismissal with prejudice, and they are not going to give it.

I branched this twetch to draw attention to the differences within Christianity and that some disagreement has resulted in bad outcomes. I am a Christian and have faith. Westminster did a great deal for me.
