Observations are irrelevant to the state. It's either up or down and moving through time. It's not the particle that changed it was your observation. Instead of measuring the observation the human ego tries to measure the particle and assumes the authority to move it.

It’s a way to explain the phenomena of state when a particle is observed. It’s not about the cat being alive or dead it’s about the parallel in the physics that makes it easier to understand. Particles have wave like nature and when you observe one it crashes into one state or the other. Let’s say up or down. It’s exists in both until you observe
