I do think most of what we see is commercial planes condensation. Those metals could not be in the fuel. The engines would disintegrate rapidly. I think the disguise is "Chaff" radar tests. I think they do a lot of radar tests...
Operation Sea Spray fucked up San Fran pretty good, and I've always liked those pictures of spraying DDT everywhere to get rid of mosquitos. "Harmless to Humans" it says on that sign.
