Maybe those actually involved could be too technical for what he was after? Whilst Kurt involvement with his mining pool does have some relevant information albeit not perfectly inside knowledge. I still think Kurt is a decent selection as goodness me there are so many woeful selections could have been made. Kurt does listen.
Remember when he brought the masked feminist scammer here @45927 who had fake Twitter accounts with tens of thousands of fake followers whom she promised to bring to twetch?
And when called out he kept defending the scammers and even put up a profile picture wearing a mask in solidarity?

I get you. I am not disagreeing. My own recollection of some other things also not perfect, but non of us are. On a scale of possibilities imho Kurt is way closer to the top than the bottom of possible candidates and that is all I am writing. VLAD should be congratulated for drawing a line in the sand about not wanting people who make stuff up. I don't think Kurt "knowingly" (and that is the key word) does. It's not for me to defend him. You're welcome to your opinion for sure.
