Oak is a solid choice. I’m partial to a river birch, myself.
Birch are beautiful trees, but why specifically river birch?
Something about the peeling bark seems whimsical and beautiful to me. Reminds me that, as humans, we should always shed the past and renew ourselves. And the birch tree is incredibly flexible, a trait I also find admiring.
