I’d like to know why Japan likes BSV so much

Imagine thinking BSV is popular anywhere? Ok, if you say so.

That’s because I talk about BSV every day on X Spaces — half a joke, but true. haha
There are Japanese BSVers around me, yet the numbers have dropped a lot compared to before, and we’re still a small minority among Japanese crypto users overall.
whats the main goal for japanese creators. is it utility or the art itself? or just how cheap and fast bsv as a chain is
Honestly, the only Japanese person I currently recognize as a BSV creator is Soysauce(and I). Both he and I are here for the pursuit of art. And the reason we’re BSV creators is that it’s true Bitcoin — above all, it’s fast, cheap, and fully on-chain.
I don’t necessarily think it’s popular
Rather there is just a surprising amount of Japanese people who are involved or interact with BSV
Surprising because its already incredibly niche and any advertising is predominantly in English
I’d like to know how Japan was exposed to BSV or if there are Japanese BSVers who have a strong influence that I may not be exposed to because of the language barrier
They followed Bitcoin since it was BtC and have stuck through the forks.
That could be true. Back in the bitcoin cash days I applied for a position at Bitcoin.com, I would have needed to relocate to Japan.
