My gear is very light compared to what I had back home. I have a decent helmet and pair of summer gloves and a good set of wet pullovers.
Back home I never was without proper gear. Backprotector in every jacket, boots, gloves the works.
But here it's just too warm and laid back for all that.

Same. I was ATGATT in USA. Shoei, Dainese, AlpineStars. I looked like a NASCAR driver with all the logos.

Yeah all you need here is a decent helmet, gloves and good wets.
I usually just use a light hoodie and combats for longer trips just for sun protection.
There's a little helmet shop in Phuket town. Picked up a helmet there for my wife after her HJC RPHA 10 plus got stolen at Chillva Market. She was pissed when that happened. Only thing ever stolen here.
