I just had a fleeting thought 💭
If fluoride is a problem in our water systems. Can we counteract it by purifying the water somehow with iodine. Turns out, you can. And not only that, it kills bacteria too.

Will be researching this this week.... if anyone already does this or has done it, comment here on your experience! It’s used as a survival method of purifying water.

This was a very common water purification procedure in our grandparents generation.

I've done it and in fact use iodine (lugols solution) in many other ways.

One of the most impressive results I get is from painting the neck at the first sign of a cold.

By the way:

The only way to get rid of iodine stains on clothes is another amazing medicine, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), which also helps to rid the body of the poison iodine liberates the body from.

But they should be taken on different days.

If you mix vit. C and iodine you get iodide, if I remember correctly. Not bad either, but something else.

A word of warning:

Iodine is very powerful and too much can be harmful. The detox effect alone can produce herxheimer reactions that aren't funny.

Many people install water filters below the sink. They presumably filter many things. Or use a Water Filter Pitcher. Not sure if this actually works... we have pretty good water here, so I'm not too concerned about this.

However, I own some water filters and life straws for hiking or longer trips. No experience with iodine 🤷

Sure but most of these filters do nothing or little for fluoride.

Easiest way to flush out fluoride is just to cut out all water sources of it & if exposed just take an extra drop of NeuIodine, then fluoride will flush out in the urine within 30 min. Toxic people first time may see crystals or cloudiness in the urine.

Carbon filter will filter many organic chemicals but to get fluoride you also need an "ion exchange" filter is hard to remove. Chlorine at least is easy to remove if you let water sit open top, the chlorine will gas out after about 8 hours.

Have u looked at osmosis filter systems?
I spent some time around Norway and noticed many office spaces use these as the water quality is rather bad.... it seems they will remove some as well. Now I want one as well :)

Yes. iodine crystals (solid state iodine) used to be used in America for camping water purification but now they are a controlled substance as can be used as an oxidizing agent to make methamphetamine. Can use iodide but I do silver for water purification.

When I was younger I spent a fair while traveling Asia, Inda & the middle East, we used to put Iodine in our drinking water, I only got sick a couple of times in all those years, I think that was from eating salad washed with dirt water.. it defo works
