Good information and interactions are "addictive" in some way. The question for me is what kind of fruits the interactions create.

Today's platforms are incentivized to keep people engaged and collecting all the data they can about them because they need to be appealing advertisers and they have all kinds of ideas about power and "shaping the future". It's been the feasible model of web 2.0 so far. There is no hope in this model since it is bound to be a race to the bottom, where those who know better the weaknesses of their users win because they can extract more value from them.

Twetch can say no to this model and yet survive, maybe thrive - this is very new on the internet.

It does need much less users than the current incumbents, and less engagement from each user, but I think it reaches its full potential with millions of active users, billions of meaningful interactions.

Another interesting thing about Twetch is that the gaming aspect is straight financial, and can be tweaked at any time depending on the observed behavior.

So there can be a period of price discovery for the initial phase of Twetch, and then a constant self observation from the community and the team. Both are incentivized to create a better network, and maybe we will be able to keep it that way without Twetch ever needing to sell its soul or shut down again.

The key thing is to see their posts in the first place. When people chat or comment on posts or branch stuff it washes away new posts and pushes them down the ladder.
And stuff that gets commented on forces its way to the top of feed.
Nicer if there are more sections or something along side (following, for you..), a section that shares no posts only vs a section where people can engage or see feed with most recent engagement
