the game ends when you destory the other team (usually in the very bottom right of the map)
to train workers, you have to have huts to allow a larger population. the workers gather logs and gold. once you have a few huts and a few workers, build a barracks. click on the barracks to build different groups, build the next one after barracks for the next troop etc etc
to train you need a forge. once built click on the forge and train attack or defense to strengthen the troops
