  "map_content": "Hate to say it but BSV is effectively dead at this moment.\r\n\r\nThe Mellor decision was a serious knockback to BSV.\r\n\r\nThe upcoming film (funded by Ayer) is basically the only real event on the horizon.\r\n\r\nThe optimist might claim that the market is consolidating, shaking out weak hands, and will rebound. \r\n\r\nThe realist recognizes that to this point the branding war for Bitcoin is entirely lost to BTC. \r\n\r\nIf BSV ever has a surge in the market, passing thousands of dollars in valuation, it may gain notoriety, popularity. One might presume that on the basis anybody is still accumulating BSV there is at least the intention to pump the price in the future to offload at a profit. The mantra price doesn't matter, utility does, is divorced from the real world. Price should follow utility, yes, but what then does a complete collapse in price structure say about utility?\r\n\r\nFor now, it's a joke. There are no serious corporate partnerships lined up for BSV. There are few BSV apps and those that exist are mostly low quality. (Sorry) Cryptofights was a joke, Scrypt.io is down, Relay, Moneybutton, Centbee, Twetch, all shut down. Shadders, Henslee, RyanXCharles, and more all jumped ship.\r\n\r\nI agree with the sentiment that transactions with Bitcoin were originally intended to be low fee, that scaling on chain is the correct solution. I agree with the notion of legal compliance and recognize the lawless bucket shop scam ecosystem that exists in Crypto. This is precisely what drew me to BCH and then BSV through the forks. \r\n\r\nCraig Wright played the role as Satoshi well preceding the COPA case. Now, with Mellor's judgment, it's difficult to reconcile the loose ends. Is it possible CSW was/is Satoshi or party to Satoshi? Sure. Is it likely? More likely not from available information at this juncture. \r\n\r\nI continue to see the fundamental philosophy for Bitcoin that the BSV space carries as more-or-less correct. Infinitely increasing \"store of value\" on the basis of scarcity alone is ludicrous. It's circular thinking. The initial promise of Bitcoin was indeed electronic peer-to-peer cash. Implying fast, low fee, transactions. The capacity to permission data on a public ledger is promising but also carries significant issues. \r\n\r\nOnce data is divulged, it can be copied and access cannot easily be revoked. Netflix for example has significant technical workarounds to prevent screen recording while their player is active. Even still, legality withstanding, to the determined actor, taking temporarily allowed information indefinitely is not difficult. Sure, you could run your private database on Blockchain, but then what is the point if your organization's service is the only one accessing the information, you could just use a traditional database structure.\r\n\r\nI'm not saying anything that people don't already know that are in this space. Stating the obvious is sometimes all that one can really say about a topic. \r\n\r\nFor BSV to succeed at this stage will require more than conspiracy theories about potential future deals, it will require actual concrete implementations by businesses of substantial size. If price rises by way of utility, then, and only then, will people begin to pay attention to BSV in the real world. \r\n\r\nFor those around in 2014-2016 before the 20k run of 2017, the sentiment surrounding Bitcoin was abysmal. Even in the bitcoin forums. My take is that there was a concerted effort to shake loose hands ahead of future price action. The entire online posting environment flipped on a dime once price action took off. \r\n\r\nCould we be seeing something similar with BSV? Maybe, but I doubt it. I want nothing more than the success of BSV but it is closer to dead than global adoption and recognition. I respect the efforts of those who have tried to make BSV a success and I hope that they succeed in the long-term.
