It's a new thing. Give it, say, 3 days and the noise will be gone... But then the real value of the feature will start showing itself.
After a nice little chat on discord, I've been won over. Archive preservation is important to me, and even though it won't do anything about current noise levels, it can prevent graffiti on my own project threads..
