The question is what kind of society you are dealing with.
In a free society Bitcoin is great. In an increasingly totalitarian state it is a big problem.
Bitcoin was made with the boomer mindset that the state isn't just necessary, but good and desperate to become accountable.
This is, of course, ridiculous. The state wants the people to be transparent while it itself remains completely non-transparent.
There is no solution, only trade-offs:
As long as there is a criminal state, the crime that might be enabled by private money is nothing compared to the crimes perpetrated by a state that has full surveillance/control of the people and their transactions.
