a lot of rare gem coloring has to do w/ vanadium content (all the green below is due to vanadium — other non-green gems are colored by vanadium too) :: also : example of vanadium containing fungi
wife’s wedding band’s gem alternates between blue and green based on the lighting... sunlight vs lamp light due to the vanadium content
