If you think STAS tokens are just colored coins than you haven't given it enough thought yet.

Gal Buki ($torusJKL) @torusJKL They are different than past colored coins because you can't use them as regular Satoshis anymore (until converted back). They have been transformed from SATS to STAS. Kind of a burning that can be reversed. Colored coins are Satoshis with metadata, but still Satoshis.
