My primary source is the Bitcoin Whitepaper here: https://bitcoinsv.io/bitcoin.pdf. This is the Satoshi Vision. "Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System." If one is in a hurry, the abstract too gives a good summary of the Vision.
