when the seeds drop, the environment into which they are dropped will play 100% a role in how they develop. some don't germinate. some germinate wispy due to poor soil. A bird comes along and eats some, later shitting them into the fertile soil a forest that is later cut down by developers as the seeds are just maturing. the wind blows some along the railroad tracks and just as they sprout they are munched down by a groundhog, etc. this is why I tend towards behaviorism. it can be taken too far easily by social manipulations, but I'm definitely not in the positive thinking camp that says everythign is possible if you just have a good attitutde and work hard enough. good for motivational speeches but scientifically bullshit lol
