When I posted this on Feb 23, the Dow previous close was just under 29,000. Those now placing blame were themselves committing thinking and actions they're today condemning others for, and the politics-obsessed US media were giving virtually no heads up.

Will Covid-19 be the tipping point in social mood that deflates the current mania? Will it begin with desperate propaganda and pumping, followed by socialistic control efforts, ending with distribution of power and individual responsibility? Thoughts?

It's Good Friday, and the market is ignoring reality just as it was in the February 23 post. The buzzword debate is between "V-shaped recovery" and "U-shaped recovery." But will the real shape be a lightning bolt as in 1929 to 1932? Hope not, but ...

It's Good Friday, and the market is ignoring reality again. Is it a dead cat bounce that will ultimately lead lower as in 1929/1930? The media and financial buzzwords are "V-shaped recovery" and "U-shaped recovery." But might the shape be a lightning bolt?
