Im speaking with a psychiatrist in 3.5 hours

I'm gonna tell her that intelligence agencies engaged me and induced psychosis, and sent an agent(s) up to me during, and all kinds of other unbelievable things that happened, and she's not going to believe me, and I'm sure it's going to be no help at all. She will probably try to prescribe me drugs which I will decline.

Pray for me

Why not just tell her that you used to think everything was somehow connected to you, but now this feels increasingly unlikely?

Whether you believe that or not...

I never at any point believed "everything was somehow connected to me", though I can see why you would get that impression.

That's not the point:

Why tell her something you know "is going to be no help at all"???

Either way, praying for you.

Have I believed that significant things/seemingly paranormal/spiritual things happened to me? Yes, I still do, just what I have observed here. I'm not going to act like I didn't observe the things I observed. They are really strange.

Does that mean I think "Everything is about me", no. That just seems like an underhanded jab, at any rate, it's incorrect.

Could it be though? Could it be some elaborate illusion designed to trick just me? Sure, but I don't BELIEVE that, it's just one of many potentials.

If I were meeting a shrink, I'd say none of that.

Why do I have any reason to lie? These things happened. I witnessed and lived them. I really don't care what she thinks or believes, and maybe if she has a brain in her head, she'll at least recognize that the things I explain could have possibly happened and might even lean towards "Damn maybe this did happen". Then she might be helpful.

If not, whatever. Cya later

There's that road; I just wouldn't take it. It's all good. Hope you have a productive session.

Thanks bro my experience with shrinks since 2017 has been when I was in severely altered states ("psychoses") so they were no help at all. Because the truth of what was happening, first of all they wouldn't believe anyways ("Intelligence agencies engaged me" is just auto-reject to them)... Secondly it was mixed up with erratic behaviour and some nonsense, so there was 0% chance for reception.

Now I'm not in one of those states so we'll see. I can very eloquently describe what happened and respond to any objections she has immediately. It's going to be interesting I guess.

This is a problem with shrinks for me particularly: "Intelligence agencies engaged me" is literally true in my case. Probably it's true in like 0.0001% of cases globally or whatever tiny number. Well, shrinks are absolutely hardwired to ignore the extreme outlier possibility and round 99.9999% up to 100%. That's my problem here.

He's saying it to get laid.

Not saying he doesn't believe it. But the reason he's telling the shrink is to get laid.

That's the least of my concerns.

no, a shrink believing you is the least of your concerns

You should tell her everything you’re feeling actually. It’s very likely that she will believe that you are having these feelings. They are still real to you. Try the medication, it does help, actually; but what helps more is learning to combat your own delusions with evidence and reasoning.

I have very few delusions and those which I have aren't actually delusions because I'm not bound to any of them, I just see them as possibilities. Also I'm not taking her meds.

They don't even keep open minds dude. It's going to be a mental armwrestle, I'm sure.
